MySpace Officially sucks.

Just got 2 Javascript trojans (and counting) from viewing a message on there. Well I am one less customer they have. Currently running my arsenal of anti-viruses.
and heres what I got http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_130621.htm
Seems FireFox 2 didn't even block it
Damn Dodgy sites. \

Javascript should not be able to create any infection on any up to date PC, without the user doing an action they should not.

All I did was a click a link and my Anti Virus's went off. It seemed to reproduce it self somehow as it keep coming back. So one of my system's cache, it was in, is now Quarantined. But it doesn't seem to be coming back. I ran McAfee then Windows Defender and now McAfee again.

Out of curiosity, admin do you think you know enough to make a solid running anti-virus and firewall?

Solid anti-virus is a myth, not much to a firewall really.

Could you make one?

In a word NO, I don't think anything can guarantee protection if people choose to open dangerous files on an insecure operating system.

Overview -

This is a trojan detection. Unlike viruses, trojans do not self-replicate. They are spread manually, often under the premise that they are beneficial or wanted. The most common installation methods involve system or security exploitation, and unsuspecting users manually executing unknown programs. Distribution channels include email, malicious or hacked web pages, Internet Relay Chat (IRC), peer-to-peer networks, etc.

I honestly don't think myspace would knowingly let members get attacked like this, as they would lose the people that make the network and obtain their revenue.
