Just a wee observation:

I don't think you should focus on advertising for Moderators. Wait until your forum has really grown quite large before hand-picking moderators from your existing members.

Get yourself a logo: If you can't make your own them maybe CG Arts could help.

Pretty much what Jim said.
Other than that, your site looks pretty organized.
In addition to a logo, I also suggest you choose a new template.
