Moving C-Box to top of forum

http://friendshiphaven.myfunforum.org/

I have it installed at bottom of my forum, but need help in being told how to move it to the top of my forum. I have somewhat the same request elsewhere here but have had no reply and really want to get my c-box where I want it. TY

Here's my c-box code:

<!-- BEGIN CBOX - www.cbox.ws - v001 -->
<div id="cboxdiv" style="text-align: center; line-height: 0">

<iframe frameborder="0" width="700" height="100" src="http://www7.cbox.ws/box/?boxid=743767&amp;boxtag=r85cv3&amp;sec=main" marginheight="2" marginwidth="2" scrolling="auto" allowtransparency="yes" name="cboxmain7-743767" style="border:#EDDEDB 1px solid;" id="cboxmain7-743767"></iframe>

<iframe frameborder="0" width="700" height="75" src="http://www7.cbox.ws/box/?boxid=743767&amp;boxtag=r85cv3&amp;sec=form" marginheight="2" marginwidth="2" scrolling="no" allowtransparency="yes" name="cboxform7-743767" style="border:#EDDEDB 1px solid;border-top:0px" id="cboxform7-743767"></iframe>

<!-- END CBOX -->

Is this just a repeat of your other thread?
asking twice does not get things done any quicker.
A html question like this is not trivial that you can expect an instant answer on.
Bravo

Also on the other thread admin asked you a question which you completely ignored and then went on to post this.

People are willing to help you, but you must understand the fundamental reason for this support forum is to support the running of your forum.  Adding extra things is allowed, but you must have the skills to do it yourself, we can't teach you everything you need to know, there are plenty of resources online for such as learning html.

Like I say, people are willing to help, but unlikely to do it for you in entirety if you don't show even an inkling of being willing to learn a little yourself.

I apologize for appearing to do something, I honestly was not...I respect the knowledge here as do my patients I strive to nurse back to health on a daily basis, so if I may I am willing to say I made a error, but I would appreciate your respect if it's not asking too much as a first time user of this forum. I do know some things but not all and this forum is set up totally different from Proboards, which I used for YEARS.
I've never had anyone do my work or anything for me in life and I am not planning on starting now. If given some tips or just guidelines I can handle it myself. Just to set the record straight, I would loose my job if I was so blunt with patients simply because I felt they should know everything. Please try to remember if we knew it all, there would be no need for a Support board!

There are problems with trying to put a chatbox at the top of this forum. I see:

Code:

<table width="100%" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0" border="0">
  <tr>
   <td class="head" background="templates/St_valentin/images/header.gif" height="160" valign="MIDDLE">
<div align="center">
<br />
<a href="index.php"><img src="templates/St_valentin/images/logo_phpBB.gif" border="0" align="LEFT"></a>
</span>
<span class="maintitle">FRIENDSHIP HAVEN</span>
<br />
<img src="templates/St_valentin/images/up.gif">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>...Where friendships last a lifetime!</strong>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
<img src="templates/St_valentin/images/up2.gif">
</span>
</td>
</div></td>

Which has a span ending in a div without it starting,  and a table column and a div also in the order td div /td /div
rather than the only "correct" order of td div /div /td

This means any advice on correct html would have to guess how the current errors would interact.

Nobody has shown you any disrespect.

If this is an answer to Admin's question on the extent of your html knowledge I don't think it clears anything up. As Admin pointed out, each template is different, each chat box is different, so you will need some knowledge yourself if you want to implement this type of thing.

Again, this is a support board for your forum, ie ensuring your forum works as it should, and for the general running of your forum.
At MFF there is plenty of scope for advanced users to implement their own changes to their forum, it depends on the forum owners' skill level as to the extent they wish to go to.

What you are saying is that you are not an advanced user but do wish to implement advanced functions.  What Admin has said is that he is willing to help you but pointed out that it's not as easy as doing a 'walk through' as there are so many things that are different depending on the chat box and the template etc, as well as including any other changes made. So he asked about the extent of your knowledge, and you set up another thread, and when people tries to help you more by explaining about why it isn't so easy as giving you some code, you are now acting as though you've been wronged in some way.  You haven't.

If you read back through other threads you will find Admin, Nick, and other knowledgeable members of this community have helped many many people learn advanced features, if you answer whatever questions people have for you, and you learn a little about what you wish to do, then you will get what you wish on your forum.

post your overall_header.tpl inside the code tags and let me know where exactly on the page you'd like the shoutbox thing placed, an image with an arrow would be awesomes.

While it's be pointed out we will help as much as possible and as a rule, we will always try to guide, encourage and highlight where people should look and make the edits, so that they themselves can build up the basic knowledge needed to make subtle changes without needing to come back, as they knowm but on this occassion as admin mentions there's some mucked up code in there and it will break if we mention where you should place the code, so it's best if I make the edits and fix what's broken.

Also admin, could you check the template that's available for install and if the broken code is in there by default, could you drop me a pm with the overall_header.tpl and I'll fix it, if you don't have the chance to yourself

Thanks everyone. Have a blessed day.
