I did the migration on Monday night from phpbb2 to phpbb3, did force etc.


However 2 days later a lot of forum members cannot see the new software running, they are still being linked into the old server/software when they use the standard web address.


Is there anything that can be done ?

I also have a few other bugs but most importantly is to ensure everyone sees new software.

I can no longer see the phpbb2 forum following the link from my control panel.

Both links take me to pbpbb3

But first one shows the warning header:-

You are accessing this forum with [zaphod3] as part of the url. This may be happening automatically following a move to a new server, or it may be something you are doing as part of a phpbb3 upgrade. If this is not part of an upgrade then be patient and do not bookmark the link, the old links will be working again shortly. If this is part of an upgrade then make sure the owner finalises it in the control panel and selects to redirect to this version of the forum, then once again the link will return to being the old one within 48 hours or so. NEVER BOOKMARK OR PUBLISH THIS LINK IT WILL NOT ALWAYS WORK.

The link for phpbb2 changes as it loads and redirects to zaphod3

You can't get to the old forum with a forced link.

The message you see will appear until you are seeing the forum without going via the "force". This is just a matter of time.
