If I could do the same with the notebook and share networking it would be really good

Seems to be promising as I want to try Ubuntu, but my lappy only has so much hard drive space, could you startup another operating system on an external hard drive?

The idea of this is that it creates virtual machines within windows, it all initially looks promising, but I am already struggling with speed and corrupted graphics and siezed installs.

I got Ubuntu to its demo screen, but the mouse died.
I need reliabily like that, like a hole in the head, so I am giving up.

No I often pragmatically give up and move on, which is actually a good recipe for getting things done.
I "gave up" on a wysiwgy editor for the forums 15 months ago.
I gave up on a lot of web templates that didn't work easily.
I have "given up" on getting Beryl working on my FC6 box for now.
But there is a world of difference between realising something is too bleeding edge to be safely done, and being lazy about things.
