latest postsI've been having a good scour through the edit template/logo bit and I notice a file that says cms_latest.tpl
Does that mean I can type in {MYFF.LATEST} and have the latest posts show up in a portal bit?

Yeah it does, just checked, as yet I don't know if there are any parameters that are needed by the portal component
