Kick your advertising into shapeJust noticed a problem on the support forum with a rash of adverts for cleaning companies   I blame Symon  (my fault really) can anyone tell me why? It is a prime example of what you can perhaps improve on your own forums. I plan to deal with it here in the morning.

You lost me. Are the Google ads showing adverts for cleaning companies as I see them usually trying to sell me a house in my city

google ads depend on where you are as well as what is on a web page. In the UK trust me I am seeing cleaning companies and directories :cry:and it is not hard to put the blame on Symon

All I know is Mambo runs with Joomla, and Joomla is the best thing on the web right now that and myff.

The myff home pages run Mambo/Joomla and a chunk or three of the open source Joomla code is now running bits of your actual forum, and certainly the best bits of Joomlas concepts are guiding some of the development. Of course the bad bits of Joomla are being rejected in favour of our own approach, which shows the great benefit of 20/20 hindsight Within days weeks or at the outside months a final killer component will be slipped into place here, making us a real rival to Joomla style systems.

you got it "uncluttered" is a very targetted keyword, but leads to really bad targeting

Right, Joomla. I tried to install Joomla on my website, and it wasn't working  . It's probably very simple, I just couldn't figure it out

Joomla like phpbb2 and many other scripts are not trivial, okay often they will work right out of the box, and they are designed to do so. But I maintain as part of my job several web sites for myself and others and any website with scripts will present maintanance issues that require the sort of expertise I have! Which is of course why people are all to often better off on a system like myff!
