Now ask your question in clear English without "txt" speak>>>> i have followed the karma howtodoit to the letter but i get no images up this is wot it looks like

Code:
/ranks/Hearts/rankl{KARMA}.gif
<<<<that is what i put in for the images
myff admin

You must give the (myfree/myfast/myfine)forum.org link/address of your forum. A link should be given to the problem if at all possible. Do this whether you think it is important or not. DO NO GIVE YOUR OWN DOMAIN LINK IT MUST BE THE NAME YOU CREATED HERE.

Again no link to where the problem can be seen.

An assertion that you have followed the guide exactly. Which I doubt or it would work.

No screenshot of your profile field settings.

And too lazy to write in English again.

I am almost out of patience here. I say pretty much the same thing in response to most of your posts.

i tried to edit my post and put more screen shots in but i was out of time.as for being lazy to write in english using "wot" once is hardly a crime im sure there is alot worse been put here before

i put the code in viewtopic_body.tpl  and it now looks like this.

Code:
<td align="left" class="posterprofile">{postrow.POSTER_JOINED}<br />{postrow.POSTER_POSTS}<br />{postrow.POSTER_FROM}<br/> <a href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="window.open('addrating.php?userid={postrow.POSTER_ID}&amp;component=KARMA', '_addrating', 'resizable=yes,width=500,height=360')">Add Karma</a><br/> <img src="ranks/Hearts/rankl{postrow.KARMA}.gif"></span> <br />{postrow.CASH}

link to a problem on the site
myff admin

The problem is clear, you have both put img code tags into the page itself and then used the "display as image" in the field definition to ask for an img tag to be created automatically, so you end up with an img tag in an img tag.

As for language, a word is not a crime, but often it is indicative of the attitude behind it. Clear English is a part of clear questions and hence quicker better support.
lsg2007

ok sorry,il make a posting template up for myself so this wont happen again.im not really clear on what needs to be taken out,is it the
Code:
<img
that needs to go?
myff admin

You need to clear the display as image line, or you simply need the macro on its own in the page source, not as part of an img tag.

I expect I could quote the guide you are following, but of course you did not bother to link to it, so I cannot be sure what instructions you think you are following!

this is what the code looks like in viewtopic-body-tpl

Code:
<td align="left" class="posterprofile">{postrow.POSTER_JOINED}<br />{postrow.POSTER_POSTS}<br />{postrow.POSTER_FROM}<br/> <a href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="window.open('addrating.php?userid={postrow.POSTER_ID}&amp;component=KARMA', '_addrating', 'resizable=yes,width=500,height=360')">Add Karma</a><br/><img src="ranks/Hearts/rankl.{postrow.KARMA}gif"><br/>rated by {postrow.KARMA_COUNT} members<br/> </span> <br />{postrow.CASH}

Code:
  <td> <b><span class="gen">{INTERESTS}</span></b></td>
      </tr>
                <tr><td>
                 <a href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="window.open('addrating.php?userid={USER_ID}&amp;component=KARMA', '_addrating', 'resizable=yes,width=500,height=360')">Add Karma</a><img src="ranks/Hearts/rankl{KARMA}.gif"></span></td></tr>

        <td valign="top" align="right" nowrap="nowrap"><span class="gen">Bank:</span></td>
        <td> <b><span class="gen">{CASH}</span></b></td>

i dont think ive missed out anything
myff admin

You are using a different path in viewtopic to what you are using in profile.

src="ranks/Hearts/rankl.{postrow.KARMA}gif

src="ranks/Hearts/rankl{KARMA}.gif

the macro is correct as that has to be different but you have a "." that is clearly wrong.
lsg2007

i think i understand what you are saying.i have changed
Code:
{postrow.KARMA}
to just
Code:
{KARMA}
is this correct?

if so there is still no images.i was wordering if it could of been the ranksl is it an "l" or a "1"
myff admin

I tell you the macro is correct and that the dot is wrong, so you change the macro...... help....
lsg2007

ops sorry didnt read what you put,correctly
