JobsParents say I need one Problem is, in my town people with my expertise you won't find very often or at all.
I know
Basic Server admin(ssh)
Basic php
Basic Css
Basic HTML
Basic fixing windows (fixing linux on the other hand is a lot harder, windows is more forgiving...)
Building computers.
Anyone suggest a job I should look into for turning all my basics into advance? My sister may get me a job at Verizon as a Tower pinger but I am open to more ideas.
(marsjupiter isn't hiring is it?...... )

Get a job anywhere to get some money coming in...waiting for the 'perfect job' would be a long wait.
McDonalds are hiring I hear, my son started there as a side job while he studies at college. He's making decent money for a young un.

Since you live in the us you could try to get a job at microsoft! I live about 5 hours away from you and microsoft offices are only 1 hour 45 minutes away while in an airplane. You should Fly to fort ladurdale Florida! There offices are 15 minutes away from the airport! Microsoft offices are right beside a Marriott!
Hope I Helped

I understand wanting the "perfect" job, but you don't have to wait till you find that to get one. Find something feasible for now and then keep looking for what you want, companies like to see ppl with experience and that are willing to work, if you have no background of a work ethic is a big negative. Also gaps in employment is a turn off.

Bravo is right, waiting for the perfect job to come along can take along time. I know, because thats exactly what im doing (And 'sponging off society' while i wait [Notice how the 'i before e except after c rule doesn't work for Society]).
I had the oppertunity to take a job at 4 different places, but i didnt feel they suited me.
You could always become self employed, but thats not something you should look into at your age really, unless you have rich parents that can back you.

At a young age I'd say that being employed counts for more than waiting for a perfect opportunity, you won't find perfect, so it's more important to get on the employment train.
Later on it is a more serious issue and I know that a couple of times despite the pressure of mortgage needing paying I have not gone for the first job offered, and I'm seriously glad I took the gamble.

Not wanting a perfect 'job'. Just something that uses my current skills to help me improve on them for something larger later on. Computer place might hire me to build computers there, last time I went they tried to get free labor I built my computer there (parents wanted me 'supervised') and I built it and little time. They told me 'build computers for experience not pay'

I can't advise on how things work in the USA, frankly I can't advise on how employers think even in the UK these days.
I do know at one point in the UK and the trend was still there last time I knew, employers care mostly about qualifications. It is unfair and it made my life hard as I once had to take a job as a trainee programmer which was farcical as I plainly knew more than almost anyone I was working with. But that was the way things were and probably still are.
Are employers really interested in people who have no qualifications or demonstrable track record?

I'm looking for jobs in the computer game industry (No, not Gambling as most people assume) at the moment, seems really hard to get into. I've got a 2:1 BSc in Robotics and AI along with top class A level results (AAB in proper subjects) but that doesn't seem to cut it so far. I've gone to the effort of learning C++ but it seems I'll soon have to accept one of the many Java jobs on offer.
That's all in the UK, seems to be tons of jobs but mostly looking for 2:1 in a computing degree, really glad I put in the extra effort.
