I'm excitedBut first the bad news, some relatively small enhancements to web page editing due to go in at the weekend are now postponed.
The reason is that a more "back burner" idea has reached boiling point with amazing rapidity, so it makes sense to incorporate it into the main development code line of the forums and deploy all the changes at once.
So what is it, well I'm keeping that a little under my hat at the moment, but it will mean faster forums and more powerful template editing

It will be hard to resist putting this in at the weekend, as it all seems to work flawlessly now and fundermantally it is only a couple of files that need changing, making it possible to remove the change easily.
But I really need to resist.

Resistance is futile.
Put it in. You know you want to!

Well I am also close to cracking the sub forum cosmetic issues, better to have a number of things in as batch really.

and now as part of the batch some speed optimizations.
It is at times like this when the need to run a stable system gets to be a bit of a pain
We now have:
1) web page wysiwyg editor enhancements.
2) template caching and conditional switch enhancements.
3) sub domain improvements.
4) configuration caching system.
All done and seemingly working, but inappropriate to deploy right now

Hmm, good news and bad news, the new template system seems to fix a coding annoyance with the ' character which has plagued the system with calls needing to be put in to "escape" it all over the place. The bad news is that those calls will need taking out.
