Hi Everybody.

I so much wanted to start a forum, but after the last couple of days at working on the most simple things I am just about ready to walk away from it.

My forums and Categories are all set ready for the talk and debates to begin.

All I wanted to do was give my forum a good look, nothing too complicated as I have little code knowledge.

I have followed all the instructions to the letter.

I seem to have invision_blue on my home page, but not on the inside pages of my forum.

I have been unable to uplaod my logo, having created the required editor, made the logo to the exact size of the outgoing logo and followed word for word the instructions.

I again have followed word for word the instructions to load the set of ranks I wanted and again nothing.

I understand some of you have fantastic forums.

All I wanted was the forum all in invision_blue

I can not get these things to work.

I have selected my smilies, I have no idea if they will work or not.

Is it me? Is everybody having the same problems?

If someone can help me I would be so happy. Up to the early hours of the morning last night and have been trying again today with no result.

I have 16 online stores and a successful online business. I so close to giving up on a forum.

Please help if you can.

1. You must give the (myfree/myfast/myfine)forum.org link to your forum. A link should be given to the problem if at all possible. Do this whether you think it is important or not.
  2. Search on the forum and on howtodoit for your problem before posting. 90% of the posts we get have easily found answers if you search on a couple of key words from your post. If this is not the case report the keywords you searched on and we will make sure search works for the next person to try the same search terms. Each time someone doesn't bother to use the search, questions accumulate in the forum making it harder for people to actually find answers! as people searching will end up finding the question and not the answer.
  3. Keep it to one support question per thread, if you have another question start a new topic. This will help others using "search" to find answers.

I see the whole lot all the way though as invison blue ?

Did you look though another account and not editor.

Have just loged in as editor and again only front page in invision_blue !!!

check what template editor sees compared to what guest see.

admin panel - 2 general -- configuration -- default style.

It would seen everyone sees it how it should be except editor.

Have just signed in and looked as admin and all in invision_blue. I have no idea why editor sees it different!

One prob down just logo, ranks and smilies to go and all the promotional things I have ready to email out can go.

One bit of good news. I just went to make a post to check smilies and they have been updated as I wanted

Editor will see different, to see the same as editor then as stated above goto profile while logged in as editor and change it to the default template , then they will see the same.

Its designed like that so if you make a mistake you as editor will see it, before you make it live.

Slowly I get there, but still lost on the ranks and logo.

I have followed both the sets of instructions and have got nowhere.

Any ideas what I can do?

In howtodoit there are step by step instructions to both charge the logo and to add ranks.

I have followed these steps to the letter, but the logo has not changed and the ranks have not been introduced.

I do not know how to tell where I have gone wrong or got lost as I believe I have slowly and exactly followed these instructions, yet the changes havenot happend.

I followed the step by step instructions for the smilies and I am pleased to say they have changed.

What more can I tell you?

I am trying to help you to help me, but I do not understand where I am going wrong.

I have been playing around a little more and I believe the ranks have now loaded.

Have just posted the rules of the forun and again my admin name up came my admin logo as I have allocated.

Great News and again thanks to all for help.

If I can overcome the logo I am ready to go.

Just about to check out the video tutorial above, but wanted to update you that I am making progress and my wife keeps passing strong black coffee my way

Just worked my way through the video tutorial to change the logo and when I uplaoded my new logo I received this message at the top of the page.

The old logo has gone but the new one is not there.

I have refreashed the page numerous times.

Any ideas anyone?

Then upload that to your template

I have a logo, colour pages, ranks, smilies and a pretty good looking forum site.

Now to load in all my prepared start up topics and then I can unleash it on all the footie fans I promised I would create this forum for.

You are a real star and it was the video tutorials that got an idiot like me through it.
