Swapitshop Lounge Forum was started on the 23rd of Febuary 2007, and since then we currently stand at 1230 registered members - Until July 5th 2007. We have done extremely hard to get into search engines, and advertise our forum on the web but it has paid of, we have had donations etc which paid for domains which we know people search, seeing we are a site about swapitshiop, which offers swapitshopcodes, we got a domain called www.freeswapits.co.uk so when people type free swapits into search engines such as google the site appears very high, near the top, we done this by creating a small welcome page and adding meta-tags which help search sites spider the web and track keywords etc of sites , we have serveral domains, but its not the domains itself which help its the way we have set them up which help the forum get onto google, we belive this is a sucessful way as it has worked for us, im sure we wouldn't of got this many if it wasn't for this idea.

Also to promote the site we have also put money into google-ads this has also proved some sucess although not as much as we thought, seeing I almost spent £20 We got quite a few clicks and it was shown on some other big forums similar to this and also some other teenage themed forums which this one is majority made up from.

Overall I think the forum has done extremely well, I was pretty sure it wasn't going to get as HUGE as it has done so far and we still have alot more work to go but the forum is getting bigger and better everyday, this is due to the great search sites which people use which are forum can be found on.

We Also Use Google Analtics which allows us and users to see where are visitors are from, how many visits a day and the top searches which lead to the site.
