Get an idea of what you want on the forum. Having a completely unmoderated forum is literally asking for trouble. After that you need posts and the posts give people a reason to join. There's an old adage: aim at nothing and you're bound to hit it. You appear to be aiming at nothing - what's your forum's point/hook? Why should people visit, join or post there? You have to be able to answer all these questions. You've not even a scrap of content either - ask yourself: would you buy a newspaper which had only blank pages and no news in it? Internet forum 101: people go where they can find/read/join-in/comment on content which engages them. Without any of that, your site's gonna remain invisible to them and outside their interest. |
