Full Portal Help

Hi i want my portal to be the same as it is on this support forum but i can't find the codes for it, i can find things like top poster's etc but i like how you can change from the forum view to the full portal view by clicking on home.

The forum i want to make full portal is. www.ultimatechatterboxforum.myfastforum.org/index.php
CodyT07

Code:
Ok to do it like it appears on this forum, you need to ADD this peice of code into your overall_header.tpl file AT THE BOTTOM

<!-- BEGIN switch_forum_view -->
<table><tr>
<td valign="top">
{MYY.MAINMENU}{MYFF.ANNOUNCE show_results="topics" link="FORUM"}{MYFF.GSEARCH} {MYFF.STICKY show_results="topics" link="FORUM"}{MYFF.TOPPOSTERS}
</td>
<!-- END switch_forum_view -->

<td width="100%" valign="top">

and the bit below needs to be ADDED into your overall_footer.tpl file AT THE TOP

<!-- BEGIN switch_forum_view -->
</td></tr></table>
<!-- END switch_forum_view -->

I cant do anything tonight.... My main forum for code editing is bombed and wont work look in general support)
Though use this code to see if its fixes the overall header problem your having

Code:

<!-- BEGIN switch_forum_view -->
<table><tr>
<td valign="left">
{MYY.MAINMENU}{MYFF.ANNOUNCE show_results="topics" link="FORUM"}{MYFF.GSEARCH} {MYFF.STICKY show_results="topics" link="FORUM"}{MYFF.TOPPOSTERS}
</td>
<td width="100%" valign="top">
<!-- END switch_forum_view -->

Replace the one i gave ealier/.
Im not 100% thats it as i cant test it but also add the overall footer part though,
Roy

Thanks only one problem i have now lost the ability to get into the admin panel as its not there and i can't go through profile to change the template i'm using coz all i get is the background view with the banner and all the options ie: profile, log in etc halfway down the page.
Roy

Few i managed to get into the profile and change the template so i could delete the other template.

I will now try the code you just gave me CodyT07 and fingers crossed no more problems and success i hope.
CodyT07

seems to be working now. the abover code should fix that as i cant do any testing.
Roy

Thats it it seems to have worked now thanks but still no main menue thing strange i will try it on the subsilver template and see how that comes out if it has the main menue etc then its my template and that means a new code grrrr.
