hi got into my control panel and put my own email address in will wait and see when a new member joins hopefully Ill be notified thanks Dave

the control panel email address has nothing to do with forum notifications.

hi Admin Im Baffled before when new members joined my forum an email was sent to me and came into my outlook express and all I had to do was click the link and the members were activated but this isnt working now and I dont know whats happened here. it worked before Ive already tried everything put my own email address in the proper section but nothing working the forum isnt informing me that a new member has joined dont get any activating links sent to my inbox any Idea how to fix this Dave.

Have you looked at Enable account activation in Admin Panel - General Admin - Configuration ?

and considered whether junk email filtering is causing issues with the address currently used.

hi Jim Enable account activation is set to admin and it was ok before so lost here am useing thunderbird 2.0 for emails and also have outlook express and sometimes the link to activate new members would come into both accounts strange to say the least havent a clue why this is happening worked well before Dave.
