Explanation of all these games clans etcJust how do you play these games, is it like the old dungeons and dragons from the 70,s-80,sHow do you get started whats the point do you win prizes or is it just great fun. I think it varies from game to game. Counter strike source you start of buying half life 2. With that comes css and you download steam/valve.
So you now have the game. Choose a name and off you go to any server you wish. There are many servers out there but the main difference is the tickrate either 33 66 or 100. The point well to be able to shoot people really  Climb up the ranks and become a good player. No prizes with this but it is great fun.
If you are in a clan and you win alot of matches then the prize is being well known for being a good clan and a good player. There is a great feeling of community on most css servers. You can watch if the server has source tv. the tesside uni servers do which allows you to watch matches and games.In normal game play you can spectate for 2 rounds normally before you get kicked from the server. but it enables you to watch someone play from their view point I hope this has helped a bit

I had half life 2 not long ago never played it got given it by my next door neighbour, and gave it away to my sons friend lol.
hey i have matrix online never played that either i even tryed to give it away but no one wanted it. So to join your clan i would need half life 2 and css then i presume i load up the disck and go from there?? |

I've been looking on various website's about joining a Battlefield 2 clan. I've never been in a clan before or really know the lowdown on them, but I imagine it is great fun. | ||

Depends on the clan and the game, With some clans there can be one hell of a lot of pressure to make the game take precedance over real life

Am not so keen on the clans that are very heavily involved in matches.
People have a life outside css or at least they should
Thats why we are just a friendly clan until the time comes when we might want to play friendly matches

If you wanted to see what counter strike source was all about before buying it you can do a google search for css videos.
Theres allsorts out there.

Will only give you CounterStrike 1.6, which is almost identical really. But has less good graphics and more to the point is used with different servers to what we are on. |

Dont think you get counter strike source with that. But if you go to play.com you can actually buy counter strike source quite cheaply
Just been having a look now. Saves you buying halflife 2 if you are not interested in it. |

Sorry should have posted a link. I may have to get one for myself as i currently share an account with my husband. Which means the servers we both play on we cant get accurate ranking which is frustrating..
Although its good for me as he's better than me at the moment. But not for long

Yeah thats fine. Once it gets to 100% it should launch the game.
Once you have css up and running go to options. From there you can put in your ingame name and fiddle with your settings. If you go to keyboard settings click on advanced and select console active as that comes in handy alot. Once you have all that done you can play away. To add the mff server go to favourites then add server and you put the ip in there then off you go. I know you would proberly know all of this or at least work it out but hope it helps a bit.

No normally its up in seconds its just the first time that takes so long.
Sometimes when new updates come out it takes a minute or two but normally its very quick. |

Well i think i managed to do it
By god you could have warned me theres, me thinking it was a bit like hitman i had my 4 year old on my lap walked round the corner and got me head blasted off.
not sure im doing it correct by hey i managed to shoot 3 i think all though i got shoot about 20 times. |

I am in a gaming clan its a Runecape Clan. Actually my forum revolves around this game.
Runescape is free it isn't for all as it is long to level up and stuff. link here http://www.runescape.com My clan wanted a forum for us so I googled and found this forum. Had the magic words FREE, FAST, EASY. well ebough said. Admin-go through all the forums and see how many forums are used for an online game it be something cool to see the numbers.

Hey Symon i dont know if your clanning questions have been answered yet but soon i will be taking over a very successful clan call United Army. We are a Call of Duty clan (Call of Duty or CoD as it is know in the clanning world, is a very good WW2 game and is one of the best selling FPS games ever!) and are recruiting new members we do not play Counter Strike but if you can get a copy of CoD you can join up and play on our dedicated servers.
