Massive mistake.
This is one of the biggest PR blunders of all time.
Even now there is no statement form them , no one is answering the 60+ pages of disgruntled customers.
Staying quiet is a massive mistake
I own many creative products and would normally recommend them,,
Jesus if we adopt their stance on their support , to here ???
Best to come forward and say sorry now with egg on your face than staying quiet and getting the whole battery farm hurdled at you.

No one is immune to mistakes, though this one shows not just a mistake but an attitude issue
My view is that if you make a mistake, own up and apologize, people will probably think better of you as a result.

I gave up on creative's audio cards a long time ago, after they couldn't even offer a sb pro's drivers for download on their site, lots of lovely help if you lose the cd when moving house? and the reply was absolutely useless from them also, so I'm on a lovely terratec auron 5.1 (loves linux btw) and the quality has never been better, far short of the terratec dmx 6fire (I so wanted that piece of kit, was £100 at the time).
Makes me feel sorry for the dude that was making their gear work with software they said it works with.
I can't wait to see the outcome?
