purged - database purged from the system
purgatory - database placed in temporary purgatory due to inactivity
missing - oh flip  where's that database gone? (not one I want ever to see).

weak password - the system will start warning people with dumb passwords

Nice apart from the padlock, which is already in use to indicate disabled. Sorry about that.

We also need Red and Amber warning icons, for copyright violations. e.g. so there is a bit of a two strike system.

Plus Red/Amber icons for other T&C infringements, I am not convinced we need a multitude for all the different issues.

There are good things in this for forums, it will help us control database size and hence the impact of backups on the system speed.

That is part of a screen, at the bottom you can see a forum that has a lot of bad news icons!, we can also see a disabled forum and a couple of ad free forums.

Spam level is very important, it is the heuristic level for determining if a forum has been set up by criminal spammers  

The new icons will be added to a revised version of this screen, there is info there that can be removed to be replaced by more useful stuff.

The filter box takes partial forum names or instructions. So typing "-active -slarti" gives the list of forums that are active and on the slarti server.

I'm hoping to have plodded through all the new code by the end of tomorrow.

I find myself wondering what php programmers would think? I think some would think the coding was idiot level   managing to miss out on clever opportunities for class inheritance, whilst managing a slightly perverse form of internal sub classing done manually  

The smarter programmers might actually spot that those clever methods would actually tie them in complicated knots as they don't really fit the problem.

I have tweak the phpbb3 icon purple and will probably do something like that with phpbb3 text, not sure yet.

Key is to create a display that shows any weirdness. Like a phpbb3 forum that has not been set as the main forum, but has posts above that of the phpbb2 forum.

This is looking good, with the color coding and some tweaks to remove redundant information, the resulting display shows much more information and more clearly

Probably best to wait for a Saturday deployment though, which means things are getting a bit stacked up in terms of new goodies waiting in the wings

It is all a matter of priorities though and in the wake of recent spambot issues system integrity is key.

The new system will not for the time being have the clever extras it makes possible. We need to make sure it is all working smoothly first.

Well the CATALOG portal is being tested now live on downsizer, and that alone is in my view quite unique and powerful.
