I have not been on for the last 30 mins or so, but certainly nothing has happened that showed up on the radar. Bear in mind you are on one server, this forum is not another and they are not tied in any way.

i've been having intermittent problems since last night with various MFF sites but its only been a very short term problem each time

It may be net issues in general.
I did see a problem myself today, but switched "proxies" and it went away. "routing" on the internet does mean that a problem may be not with the servers themselves but with an issue somewhere between your PC and the server.

Just to muse a bit more, I have had to sort a few PC's here that were not finding any web sites at all today, so there are some connectivity issues out there today at least with NTL.
But I was looking at myfreeforum site speed earlier and feeling very happy about how fast things were going.
Notably today a couple of people raising issues have pointed the finger at the myfreeforum server with about half the load of the main server!
It remains and will alway be our intention to bring more servers online well in advance of real load issues, but it is equally important to keep the powder dry for when it is needed.

Thats why i asked was it my server and all thoase i have spoken to seem to be on NTL bless their tiny feet

That is good to hear. Obviously speed issues effect the viability of the system, it would be a shame just as we are creeping towards being genuinely in the black to have to take a hit.

at least 2 of us on ghg that are reliant on ntl get cut off regularly for no reason. we're not even on the same exchange!

but if your aol is dependant on an ntl line which one of our admin team is you're stuffed basically!
i've heard people saying there's a problem with blue yonder today too. am i right in thinking they're all part of the same company?
