Some of the members on my forum are getting a critical error message only when they try to access the forum from their favourites, but when they type in the url, it works. most of them have it bookmarked as http://prisonbreakforum.co.uk/index.php
is there a problem with that? the 'index.php' ?

its happening today and according to the member, when they access the url from their favourites from firefox it comes up with "phpbb critical error could not connect to database" but when they type the url out, it works fine.

You will have to get the exact link from them, I think they must have cached something somehow from yesterday.

That error can only happen due to an overload or getting through somehow to a server where an old version of your forum is still somehow defined but no longer there.

I guess that is somehow conceivable with your DNS issues at your registrars

I am having the same problem on adsnightlife.myfastforum.org.  Every now and again (a couple of times this morning) I'll get a plain white page with a phpBB error stating that the system couldn't connect to the database.  I got it once when I tried to preview a reply to a post and once when I was just trying to list the index of all the forums.  The first time I even went out to the forum was yesterday and I didn't sign up until today so I don't think it could be a cookies issue.  Help?

You must give the (myfree/myfast/myfine)forum.org link to your forum. A link should be given to the problem if at all possible. Do this whether you think it is important or not.

We were getting ahmmered by an ip address. It has now been blocked.
