I have found over 100 copyright violations in a forum called. rebels.myfreeforum.org.

I think I should turn them over to the authorities. That would be the right thing to do.

Funny that other problems were just brought up between a personal vendetta against rebels... and now over 100 violations without any link or evidence?

I think something fishy is going on here.

That's actually somewhat true. Violation is inherent in playing around with any fantasy world like X-Men, or Lord of the Rings, or Star Wars, or Star Trek.
I wonder what the copyright holder's position on fans playing in the Star Wars world is?

Funny thing is this. Nothing is ever done by My Free Forums. Proof or no proof. So copyright violations are governed by international law. Doesn't matter whether they happened in the US, the UK or Germany.  Your admin even participated in a farce of absolute stupidity that had gone on all day instead of dealing with the situation.

I wouldn't give a link here that I knew nothing would ever be done about. The links and downloaded files will all be sent to the REAL AUTHORITIES. Probably before daylight arrives where I am. Chances for this host to do the right thing have now ended.

Oh and Caedo, you don't speak for George Lucas as much as your gigantic ego might want to believe you do. Neither do you speak for the authorities.  We'll see what they have to say. I'll be delivering this all to them in person.

To be honest, if it's role playing of a novel or movie based fantasy, the companies don't want to shut them down.  It's free advertising!  The only time they want them shut down is when the copier start to make profit from it all.

Right now it seems like a group of people are saying "we don't like you! we are going to shut you down!"

I'm a mod on an mmorpg, and I have a nice sized group of people that don't like me.  And that is one type of comment I have heard plenty, yet of all their false testimonies of my 'abuse' hasn't gotten very far.

Just because you don't like something doesn't make it against the rules.

Copyright violations are for the copyright holder to choose to enforce or not.

It is not up to someone with a vendetta to deal with  

Plainly in the real world lots of things are technically violations, most of which the copyright holder will choose not to enforce for any number of reasons.

You're saying nothing is ever done and no action is ever taken yet I have seen 100's of forums suspended while I've been here.

I've seen many suspended for copyright violations too.

Guess I must have been dreaming for the past 3 year or so...

Indeed and almost all done openly as well, so people can see that genuine complaints are upheld to a coherent set of standards that actually go much further than simply what is required by law.

The biggest reason that people get away with copyright violations is because the company/individual etc. doesn't know that their copyright has been infringed upon. But for Rebels that is about to change. A group of us have  been sorting their stuff and now we're going to inform the parties that hold the copyrights, Interpol and the feds all at once. Let's see what happens. I may wake up one morning soon to see the 'April Fool's Joke'  become reality and Rive Caedo arrested.

That will be a day for lighting fireworks.

For any company to deal with a complaint in an adult like manner , requires the reporter to report these complaints in an adult like manner.

Coming here with childish threats and a silly attitude does not bode well for you or or complaint.

By all means complain to the real authorities , before you do , please do your homework, we would not want you to look silly after all.

If you believed nothing would happen if you complained or not, then i can only take this thread as a way of taking a swipe at the Admin and the system, therefore im going to lock it.

With no links to said stuff it would be like going to court accusing a shoplifter, but having no evidence what so ever.

Please if you wish to make a compliant follow the guidelines until then no complaint will be taken serious.
