Okay, so let me see...

I decided to get a domain name for my site, follow the helpful little guide you have, I got the name, pointed set the nameservers with everydns, directed those to the IP of the forum.

I waited for that to go through before moving on... and checked the new domain periodically, until I got the an error page for mff.  That's when I knew that the dns was pointed to the right spot...

I then contacted the admin (via e-mail... the guide doesn't say or recommend how to...) and asked to change the forum from it's current - http://zudane.myfastforum.org - to the new domain - http://www.harsh-reality.info - and got a reply saying it was done.  I had questioned how long it took, and was told 48 hours.  I waited... but the change has not yet happened, and I was first told it was done 2 days ago, just past 48 hours.

Now that you've got the full story.. I wanted to know if something wasn't done, wasn't saved, or done wrong on my part or admin part, so I can get the new domain working for it.

What I end up with, when I try to access harsh-reality.info is I get the standard error page for a forum being closed/not working with "Your free forum harsh-reality.info does not appear to exist" as the error at the bottom.

Any help?

I'm looking into this. Own domains on phpbb3 forums are a bit of a new thing and plainly whilst all seems set up address wise, something is missing.

Helps to iron out some bugs, or just learn things that phpbb3 is picky on.

as cool as it is to have that as the index, can I get it changed to the normal board index?  It's currently an index page that lists current articles.  Or can I just edit one of the files to change that page?

The www page always goes to the portal page. There are ways to manipulate that though.
