How do I change the from email address for users on my forum who send email or pms? I have a registered domain name pointed to my forum address. I would like any messages going through the forum to show my domain address as the from address. Currently its shows something like: from “Nobody” email address "donotreply@myfastforum.org"
I would prefer donotreply@youraboa.com.

I have searched support using "email change" with out success. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look at the settings in portals settings/EMAILBOUNCE.

Also look at the email address in admin/configure. If you have a hotmail type address there the forum may be forcing use of the "donotreply" address as hotmail addresses tend to fail in spam filters.

To use your registered domain as an email address, you must have paid someone for an email service on that address. That is not a service we provide.

Looks like there is a drop down list to choose from in the portals settings/EMAILBOUNCE, but no where to type a customer email address. My admin/configure email address is set to my personal email address which is right. I am just wanting the "from" address thats sent with pms and emails through my forum to reflect my domain name. My fear is that all these messages are currently going into members junk mail folder because they don't recognize the address.

The admin/configure address is the one you should be setting for the From address.

This is different to your own email address as set in your admin user profile.

How do I change the "donotreply@myfastforum.org"
to match "admin@youraboa.com"
or is this not possible?

Contact e-mail is the from address, reply e-mail is the address it gives to reply to.
