AVG 8.0 is awsome.

I love the new feature, when I search for something on google it checks each page for me and puts a green tick next to each link if it's safe.

Probably will never come across a red cross and so I will probably never have needed this new feature, but it's allways nice knowing it's there.

When you hover the mouse over the green tick it also has some information on the page security.

I only use AVG Free, the paid AVG packages have extra options too.

The new AVG has less features than it used to have such as email checker etc.  I got sick of the popups asking me to 'upgrade' so I got rid.

Sooo glad I did, I have now found Avast!  which is about a million times better than AVG ever was at its best I am so pleased with it.  Not only that, when you request a scan it automatically does it when you reboot in safe mode which is the best time to run a scan anyway.

It's found stuff AVG missed.

AVG is dead....long live Avast!

suppose I must, I'm using avg 8(have turned of that server slapping link thing) , zonealarm and spyware terminator, all freeware products.

Don't feel the need to change on my say so, these are merely suggestions of products I use and have never had a problem with, none of them conflict which can be a problem with some similar companies offerings, yet these three compliment and work well in defending my computer, as it's still going since I last rebuilt it mid last year.
