Hello My name is Angel and I was told by a friend about this forum www.gatherings.myfreeforum.org Forum Index and after I created my account for that forum and I recieved my activation email I tried to sign in and look around and I was Banned. I never even got a chance to look. I just wondering why this happened. Any help will be appreciated and I guess I will just not join their forum.

I,m afraid we can not help you on this matter, you will have to contact the forums admin to enquire as to why you have been banned, as it is down to each forums admins who they allow or dont allow to join their forum.

They sent you an email to activate your account if i where you i,d email them politely to enquire.

Thank you very much. Just wanted to know why a forum would ban a person before they got a chance to even enter it. I will follow you advice and send them an email.

very odd...same thing happened to me...i've never posted there ...www.gatherings.myfreeforum.org ...and yet i'm banned....i wonder why???

I was wondering how is it possible to get banned from a forum, without any sort of postings? Or is that site just completely banning all members???? I just joined, left for some errands came back, clicked to log in, and i got a ban message? Is that even fair??? Why form a forum and then ban new members?

I noticed Symon mentioned that it is up to the administrators to ban members from their forum? Tho, what is the logic in having a FREE forum when they are going to monitor who can join and who they can ban? Is that seriously Fair in at all??? Otherwise, I would think YOU as an admin would see what is this forums main reasons for opening sure?

There could be many reasons why you have been banned, sometimes when you join a forum if they have banned an ip or a whole areas ip then you would be banned without making a single post.

The forum is hosted on the myfreeforum that does not mean its free for anyone to join if that admin doesn't wish you too, it is free as in it costs you no money to make your own forum.

As i stated before the first approach has to be made to the forums admin, we can not tell forum admins who they can and cant let in on their forum.

We would only really get involved if they were breaking our terms and conditions.

now i agree its a funny way to run a forum and certainly one which i would not adopt , however they are breaking no rules by banning members.

I can see they have hidden forums on that site
Perhaps there's something on that forum that they just don't want everyone to see?Like SPAM.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Yes of course your right, it's not a forum to adopt. Thank you. Just a waste of time to even look into such freeforum mass messages to join only to get banned. or another being investigated on. I'm so glad that techology has come along way and not have only your site to hold up forums. Thank you again. Of course the main reason why you could have been banned is the fact that you seem to belong to the cjk777 forum
