Beginning to think I'm computer illiterate.What I'm looking for is to add a network external hard drive to the system, which would be connected to a form of wireless router.
I want the router device to relay wirelessly via the existing wireless network, and have connecters for wired devices such as the hard drive, whilst also acting as an access point that would help extend the range of the existing wireless network.
I don't think that is especially complicated, but I'm struggling to find an advert from something that says it will do that exact job

Actually the more I look the more it does look like all-in-one solutions in this area are rare to non-existent

Well a network hard drive can plug into any router.
What I can't see with the link given is an indication that it will make a wireless connection to extend the existing wireless network.

I don't think that extends a wireless network, it certainly does illustrate an ability to baffle with a long complicated spec, where all you really want and need is a pretty picture showing what it can connect to what
