Anyone know?

How much does it cost for a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread? I am writing a paper and it takes place in London... and the children have to go to the store before the huge blizzard to get milk and bread...
Symon

1 gallon = 8 pints

£1.62 for 6 pints

£0.64 for 2 pints

so total = £2.26

Prices taken from asda online shopping

But no one in the UK would buy a "gallon" of milk, they might buy 8 pints, but they would never say gallons in this context.

If it's in London, increase those prices by 20%
