Anyone Got Any Suggestions

Has Anyone Got Any Suggstions For My Web Page, Like What Other Stuff I Can Put On

www.manunitedfansforum.co.uk

Also Please Tell Me If You Have Any Other Suggestions For A Page, Because I Need To Add Some More Pages To My Forum

And I Am Thinking Of Adding A Prem Table One Like In My Portals

Thanks
Danny M

Bump

Anyone
Symon

The thing about having your own forum is to run a forum about something you like or have an interest in, its no good just starting a forum and expecting others to tell you what to do.

Your forum is like your baby you need to feed , water, change, and give it all the attention it needs.

this is a forum about Man Utd do you really need people to tell you what to do?? i have made a website/forum for one of my sons football team, only 3 weeks old yet has all the information needed to keep people interested for some time.

I Know What Your Saying And My Forum Is Going Well

But It Just Looks Empty On The Hompage

And I Just Want Some More Suggestions On How To Improve It

Because Say Some One Visits It, They Might Think

Oh This Looks Plain And Then Don't Click On The Forum

Then look at other sites and get ideas do not just copy everything as seen but get the ideas from them.

Danny M

Danny M

Right Symon I Don't Have A Clue What To Do

I've Looked At It And Here It Is:
Spoiler:

<table width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" border="0" align="center">
<tr>
<td align="left" width="150" valign="top">
<table border="0" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" width="100%" align="center">

<tr>
<td colspan="1" width="150" height="25" class="topictitle" nowrap="nowrap">{MYFF.MAINMENU}</td>
</tr>

<tr>
<td colspan="1" width="150" height="25" class="topictitle" nowrap="nowrap">{MYFF.LATEST}</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="1" width="150" height="25" class="topictitle" nowrap="nowrap">{MYFF.LINKSMENU}</td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
<td valign="top">
<table border="0" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" width="100%" align="center">

<tr><td>{MYFF.DESCRIPTION}</td></tr>
<tr><td>
{MYFF.COMPONENT}
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
<td align="left" width="150" valign="top">
<table border="0" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" width="100%" align="center">

<tr>
<td colspan="1" width="150" height="25" class="topictitle" nowrap="nowrap">{MYFF.CATEGORIES}</td>
</tr>

<tr>
<td colspan="1" width="150" height="25" class="topictitle" nowrap="nowrap">{MYFF.POPULAR}</td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
</table>

But It Looks Like Some Portals Are Already There

Anyway Any Little Clues You Can Give Me Please

Thanks
Symon

Try posting that code in a webpage then view it so call it test1.html or something then view it at yourforum/test1.html

You must try things first before we can guide
Danny M

Symon I've Tried Lots

I Can't Do It

I Really Can't

Can You Give Me A Little Bit Of Code What I Need To Add Please

Then I Might Be Able To Work It Out From There

Thanks
Symon

What do you want me to say i have told you already what ever you have in your cms_index.tpl post it in a webpage that will then give you the look of a dual portal.

That is what i did on my site so i know it works

no idea why it can not be that simple for you ??
Symon

Danny M

Oh I Get You

No this would be the area but start a new thread not many people read the end of 2 page threads as they think that i,m dealing alone.

nick or admin know more about portal sides than i do.

But i would at a guess say that you have to edit the .css somewhere alongg the lines
