Nope, nor Do I ever want to go to Kings Crest. Its basically a towns version of the "ghetto".

In the late 90's I was out doing some onsite support work at Willis Coroon a big insurance company, that are I believe UK owned, I was working for CACI a US owned company at the time which was a little ironic.
Didn't get to see too much of Nashville really. Had a great drive their first time out though, down the Blue Ridge Parkway from Pittsburgh.
One funny story from fist time out, was every day I would turn up with my fancy security card that you had to wave in some odd fashion at the machine, and every day it would refuse to let me in and I'd wait until someone else came along and opened the door for me. I'd then take this up with my coworkers when they turned up, and we would go back to the door and the card would always work Leaving them thinking I was a right plonker
I eventually figured out, that as a visitor my card was time locked and would only work after 9am

Updates,
The found 2 murder suspects. According to the police, they tried to rob here.
If they did do it, I hope the death penalty. Can't even live any where any more without the fear of being killed.
[rant]They had to hire the biggest 'dumb ass' to describe the area. She said "Oh I moved here because its quiet, neighboors are nice".
My response..... Bullshit. No one 'just moves' to Kings Crest. I'm afraid to go down there even if I have a gun and bullet proof armor.[/rant]
Anyways if they are found guilty, death penalty. I'm tired of 'gangsters', sure some of you think its 'barbaric', If you lived where I did you think different.
Does England have "housing projects' or 'ghettos'?

well in england they dont have ghettos, well they might in some places, but not near me and you do get gangs walking around or in some alleys late on at night causing trouble

I'm not rising to the death penalty debate, its been done on here, and no one ever changes any minds.
We have "council" estates which very enormously, but there is a big difference and that is that despite a growing gun culture, firearms are still a rarity here.
I'd argue that on a lot of levels Britain has a more violent culture the the USA, but our violence tends to be a lot less fatal!
In a town like Swindon there are some badish areas, but nothing like you get in the cities where there are ghettoish areas.
I think though that there is little we have that is as bad as the USA in terms of places which are really scary.

Whe i was a kid around 14 a murder took place 8 doors away form me,
I,ve also lived in what cody would call a ghetto a north london housing estate where the police only came mob handed, rape drugs suicide and the odd murder were common, glad to say it was a brief stay.

I,ve been to a few and was working just down the road form the Broadwater Farm Estate in Tottenham. Broadwater Farm riot.
It was a no go area for the police well before the trouble started and whites did not walk though there on their own, i remember once i had to go though there to delivery something, it was scary to say the least.
After the riot it was an even more threatening place one place i don't miss.

I remember my bus going through the Harehills riot scene on my way to school, it was total carnage....this was at the same time as the Toxteth and Brixton riots etc (around early eighties)
