A message from the new datacenter!

I have just received a long document about a somewhat horrible network outage problem that occurred in September. This was long before we were installed there, but I do find it encouraging.

I am totally at ease about the fact that any organisation can have equipment issues that are weird enough to beat your best efforts at redundancy/failsave etc, but what I like to see is a clear explanation of what went wrong. Sometime such explanations may enable those further down the foodchain to deal with things more effectively.

Our main datacenter is a good one technically, but no where near as good at explaining what goes on either at datacentre or server level, which obviously means we have limited ability to pass the information on to the forum owners.
