This has been long asked for and is about to enter testing.
I found some established code that claims to do it. I should say refound as it was written in 2006 and is close to 1000 lines long, I looked at the code back then and decided that it was too risky until it had had a long field test elsewhere

You bet.
It was either find some established code, or find a way to leverage the code to delete individual posts and topics. There is just too much to do in the database to want to risk reinventing the wheel here. Did I say close to 1000 lines of code there! _________________

It does all seem to be working fine.
it is just a matter of finding an opportune time to installed. I have weekend plans and hence don't want to rock the boat until after the weekend. _________________

people have survived a few years without it so far, I don't think you'll have any complaints about waiting a few days longer admin
Great addition as usual, and nice of you to keep people updated on the situation _________________ If you disagree with anything I have said, then it's fine... Everyone is wrong at some point in their life...

I thought this woulda been pushed on for this morning when I saw the little spam attack by that new user this morning, it was upto 13 posts when i logged off the computer this morning, not sure if it went much higher.
You were online at the time, and i'm guessing that's what made you release this this morning, it was the perfect timing and perfect first live test. _________________ If you disagree with anything I have said, then it's fine... Everyone is wrong at some point in their life...
