I saw on another forum that, like Youtube videos, you can post a link to an external site and it will open in the message area. ie . If there is an article with CNN it will open the CNN page (in a smaller section) in the actual message box and you can scroll down the page to read it.
All I can find is adding videos like that. What am I doing wrong?
thanks

Have you tried just using the code, without adding it? _________________

But then they have to type it in each time, don't they? With a button they can just press it , add the link and press it again , like the quote button? Or I am being blond?
Thanks
Don't I have to put "web" where it says "code"?

It isn't a button for a reason. This can be abused and can be a security risk.
If you want the button like on here, then search the howtodoit for bbcode buttons. _________________

Tried this with Firefox 3.5 and it failed when I checked a sample post by using the preview mode. All that happened is that I was immediately directed to the url I was using. Maybe this is a bug in PHBB2 or Firefox 3.5, but I was glad that I previewed my post before submitting it.

check what site it is.
Some sites are designed to not work in frames and iframes, which is all the web tag is - an iframe.
They detect if the main page is theirs or not, and if it is not, then it loads their page as the full page.
