"Stole" our rank images.

If you look HERE, you will see the admin of that forum has some nice looking multicoloured stars. But, if you look HERE, you will see that my forum also has these and own them. I don't know if they have "stole" anymore because the only 2 members who have posted are admins.

Any action or feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Sure you can say that, but they're not theirs. I mean, surely they should've atleast asked? Someone put time and effort in to make those for my forum only.. =/

We're not able to make a decision on such as this.  We're not a court of law.  If you think there has been a copyright violation, you should seek legal advice.

How on Earth are we to know who made what, and what the legal ramifications are?  It's been said before we are not lawyers.

Really, is it worth it?

^^ If the image is hosted with swapitshop, then I think it's theirs first, and since it isn't publicly available on the MYFF rank sets, I think it's a 'private' image.

I have a question, your template is clearly heavily modified to the point of being a custom made template, so why the heck have you not got any copyright notations in your footer claiming ownership of created images used in the template along with the ranks and karma images assuming you have karma installed?

What happens if someone misuses my Creative Commons-licensed work?

They are probably at fault, but in such cases it is the forums responsibility to nudge them first. If they don't respond and the complainant insists we will take action, but I still think this is all very very petty.
