Please indicate keywords you have searched on:

Now ask your question in clear English without "txt" speak>>>> My forum has been suspended and I would like to find out a) if it can be reinstated, B) What I can do with the existing forum to ensure I meet your terms and conditions in future C) when if at all possible can I have the forum reinsteted. That forum and carerwatchdotcom are under threat of legal action by ATOS and have been taken down.

The threat seems legitimate as the forums contents are pretty libellous.

We may be prepared to provide a forum export, but we cannot host such stuff.

It's a solicitors letter, so can't just be emailed.

The basic that is, we have a number of "carers" forums with many of the same members/admins that have caused no end of grief by their loose attitude to libel.

I am not going to put all of our users at risk on this one. I have no confidence that even if the specific complaint was dealt with, that there would not be ongoing issues.

Anyone knowing the history here will know we have defended these forums many times in the past. But there is always a limit and I'm sorry but that has now been reached.

Hi there

I can't speak for other users obviously, but as a person who has used the suspended forum, I know that what I have posted can be backed up with evidence which has already been used in an appeal tribunal.  I would like to know therefore if I can see a copy of the complaint as I would want to defend my actions.

Am I right in thinking that MyFreeForum.org is a US based site? If so, could I ask what state you operate from and does that state have an anti-slapp law in place?

regards

Daisy

I understand your reluctance to take this conversation forward. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for hosting the site as long as you have done, it has been a great source of strength to many disabled people in the UK and Europe. I wish you well for the future and bear you no malice for without you I would not have made so many new friends. In closing I am currently in negotiations with another provider and wonder if you would be wlling to transfer the information on the site to a new location. Please respond if this is possible and I will provide a contact email address.

Cheers

Nelson

I will send the forum export to the owners.

I don't want to get into the details of the complaint, I have shown it though to a few people who basically say that whilst they appreciate the sentiments are probably right what is said is probably actionable.

That was also my view, and I have little doubt it would be actioned, and given this is shall we say several strikes in terms of troubles with these forums, I have to consider the common good.

Hi Admin,

I'm really struggling here with trying to restore DWPExaminations forum with it perhaps as I'm trying to upload the database to a PHP.BB 3.0.9 install not a PHP.BB2 with me getting the following message when I've uploaded the database after giving it the same name as the database I've allocated.

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Unknown column 'is_dynamic' in 'where clause' [1054]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists

Any help you can give would be really appreciated, not only by myself who is trying to help the members of DWPExamination fight what we consider to be a very real threat to the sick and disabled in the UK.

Any ideas what the problem is I am having with me doing this myself on a pro bono basis just to help my fellow disabled.

Highest regards,

Holmey

is pretty vague. But you had a phpbb2 forum and that is unlikely to directly upload to phpbb3.

Thanks for pointing me to this thread. This is the 1st we have heard of any action towards the group. We are family carers and just now we have no techy support whatsoever. The fella who helped us, his wife really ill so no time to help out.

I have just found the emails you sent. To be honest dont understand them. Can you give me a few days please to try find someone who can action them.

Hi Carer,

I'm just currently setting DWPExaminations forum back up on the Black Triangle Campaigns offshore server where [removed by moderator] can't do a thing about it and we would be happy to do the same for you once I've got DWP back up and running, (hopefully today now that I've found the problem I'm having restoring is the version).

I'm/we are doing this at no cost in solidarity with any groups having problems with  [removed by moderator].

I will get in touch with you about it later today.

Regards,

Holmey

Will nip this in the bud here, don't be naming any groups you have issues with on this support forum, there is no need for it and it could cause further problems

Whatever the complaint it will be sorted in time. I know admin here has to do the best for all concerned and thank you for hosting us so long with no problems.
To think all this could have been avoided had you know who brought their concerns to us 1st. It would have taken seconds to resolve.

However, our 1st priority is to our members many of whom are disabled/ill health/family carers. I have had a few phone calls this morning, people in tears. I have no idea if the following request is possible or even if admin would be willing but with no techy support of our own I have to ask, not for myself but for those out there still needing support and will be feeling isolated.

Would it be possible for you to still access our details to send a mass email on our behalf just advising members the forum has been suspended and if they want further details to contact  admin@carerwatch.com

It is breaking my heart not being able to reach them
