H1 - 2200watts
H2 - 170watts

Here we has as far as I can see it the circuit inside an electric hot water urn. The Urn is meant to bring water to the boil and then enter a "warm" state where it keeps the water at 85c-90c.

My measurements suggest it has a rather odd idea of 85c-90c, more like 75c

I want it hotter, but I don't really understand the circuit.

Can anyone tell me anything they think about the circuit?

Some questions:

1) What is in side the bit labeled "?"

2) Is the visible thermistor on a positive or negative temperature  coefficient?

3) Is it  possible if I unscrew the thermistor housing that it might be adjusted?

4) What do I do to to force a permanent boil?

5) Is it the case that both elements are on in the boiling cycle?
