How does the "Watch all forums for new topics" lin

I'm sorry I've been looking through the posts here but haven't been able to find an answer to my question. If a user of a forum clicks on the "Watch all forums for new topics" link, and someone subsequently posts, will the user get an email advising them that a new post has been made? Thanks for any help.
