Help with gallery!

I need help, i'm stuck with the gallery feature... I'm stupid i know but i can't figure out how to upload pictures into my posts (i'm aware that in previous posts on this site it states that i must upload to your gallery then link across- but how???)
Also when viewing the Portal Adminstration i can't find the gallery feature however when i try to create one in portal settings is say's i'm not allowed to overwrite the settings... How do i create a specific gallery for my pictures?

Help - please tell me how to upload images into my post... and also how to create a gallery for images of a specific topic like Member of the Month!

When ever you post a topic you should see "attach file" below where you enter the post text.
