|
|
It should now be impossible to delete/deactivate or ban, the original "admin" account a forum was set up with.
This provides a fig leaf of protection against rogue admin activity.
But no one should be under the slightest illusion that this alters how important it is to keep admin priviliges down to only yourself or a very very few people you can trust absolutely.
Someone with admin powers can still trash everything on your forum! _________________

Is the original admin able to remove his own rights?
This is sometimes useful, as I have set up a forum for someone else in another clan before, then removed from admin (as was my wish). So it isn't always a bad thing.

We have lifted some of this as a bug was stopping ordinary deletions
But anyway in exceptional circumstances we can always deal with things.
It is simply that normally admin deletion is a rogue action. _________________

well, you could also just go into the admin panel, and change that person's name to whatever you want and then change the password

They would still be owner. _________________
