Yesterday, my pc did the dreaded BSOD, nothing i could do would enable me to boot up vista.

I did not have a disc as it was preloaded, so i decided to stick xp on instead.

I`ve been thinking about this for a while now as vista has caused me nothing but trouble.

    Drivers are hard to find

    Keep getting booted off net

    sudden crashes

    Storing documents is crazy

And the admin permissions is really annoying

So it goes to show that in peoples rush to "must have the latest" sometime old tried and trusted, is better.

I would not go back to vista now even if they paid me.

When I bought this new computer, I had to pay like £80 more to have XP on rather than Vista, well worth it imo, I know the OS well and am happy with it, not heard much good about Vista so they can keep it.  It looks quite nice but thats about it

I so wish I hadn't opted for Vista.

It's pants

Thinking of doing the same and going back to xp *stares at penny jar*

there is a new wave of low power processors out there. The Atom uses just 3% of the energy of current powerful chips.

The Atom can run XP and basic applications people need without bother. If software developers put more effort into efficiency it would even be considered way over powered!

On a notebook PC it takes battery life into new and useful places, but there is no way it is going to run Vista.
