Please indicate keywords you have searched on: search members, member search, online

Now ask your question in clear English without "txt" speak>>>>

I was wondering if there is a way to see a list of users who were online at vertain times.

I know you can see when a certain member was online by searching his or her name, but what I would like is to see a list of who was online, eg. tonight 18/3/2011.

Is that possible at all?

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

The visits portal does this, shows when people were last online and the time

Read howtodoit portals for more information on portals

OK,
thank you for that.
However, it looks to me like the howtodoit has been written in some tribal dialect.

It keeps mentioning, to begin with, adding some code to overall_header.tpl and overall_footer.tpl, where do I find that?
All I have in my list is "overall", "overall_header.html" and overall_footer.html".

I have searched high and low for the .tpl files but cannot find it anywhere.
Can anyone tell me how I can get to those particular files?
Thank you.
BTW. I would also like to have that portal as a tool for the admin, not public, if that is possible.

Well you are running a phpbb3 forum, the answers given are for phpbb2.

When you think about it, this is not about "running a community" but a technical phpbb question.

I will move it to the appropriate support forum.

The fact is though that there is no time based reporting of when people were online, only when they were last online.

That is enough for me, if I can see that, it would be a great help.

I didn't think the blue phpbb3 background was on earlier, didn't realise it was bb3.  Now that admin has moved it things are clearer

Howtodoit has a phpbb3 version, I haven't tried the bb3 visits version but there is one listed: http://howtodoit.myfabforum.org/B...Components_Compiled_about330.html

So, that is where the blue background comes from?
I thought I had accidentally highlighted everything.

Anyway, back on topic:
thanks for all the help, but I give up.
I can't find "portal settings" anywhere in my Styles menu in the admin panel, and the link sending you to the tutorial about adding the code still mentions the overall_header.tpl and overall_footer.tpl, which I cannot find anywhere.

Anyway, thanks for trying to help me.

Well you can extrapolate that .tpl in phpbb2 translates to .html in phpbb3.

And one of the main TABS across the top of the phpbb3 admin panel says "PORTALS" or at least it does in the English admin panel. Bits of the admin panel may be missing in other languages.

OK,
I did as described, I added the code to the header and footer, and added the {myff_visits} to the portal setup, but I do not see any change on my forum.
