I just finished my forum today I do have a couple of members but nothing too big and i'm hoping if I can exchange with someone else like another football forum or whatnot? The benefits are obvious, I'd think... the point is that each forum gets more attention. Say you have a hunting forum and I have a fishing forum - if I have members that like to hunt and fish then they can join both sites and both sites get more members. SEO wise, the amount of sites linking to yours (and their own ranking in google) are what determine your ranking. With proper use of link exchange you can get traffic from other sites as well! This is great because not only are you receiving traffic - this is also targeted - which means they are already interested in your products! Especially if you're new to business and just starting out - link exchange can really help jumpstart your business.
