1) They want to charge you for better support response time.
2) There is a two month waiting list for an export so you can escape.
3) The "support" forum is full of spam, and no one is answering.
4) They want to charge $10 for moving you to a server that actually works.
5) They want you and your users to download "toolbars".
6) You get regular spam emails from them.
7) You can't see your forum for the adverts.
 They lose your forum and have no backup less than a month or more old.
9) Downtime is a regular feature.
10) Your forum is slow slow slow.
